Senior Electronic Engineer

Role Description

The Senior Electronic Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing electronic systems and sub-systems for Nextech’s UAV platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include schematic and circuit design, component selection, prototyping, testing, and validation of electronic assemblies to meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards. The role involves collaborating closely with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams to integrate electronics into complete UAV solutions, solving complex technical issues, and supporting production and field deployments. The Senior Electronic Engineer will also contribute to design documentation, continuous improvement of design processes, and mentoring less experienced engineers. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the City of Cape Town.
