Job Description
Lexdan Select is assisting a Engineering consultancy with their search for a Senior Electrical Engineer. Based in Roodepoort, Johannesburg.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and design HV power transmission and distribution infrastructure (132kVâ765kV).
Lead and coordinate multiple electrical substation projects from concept through detailed design.
Prepare and review engineering deliverables, including layouts, drawings, equipment selection, specifications, and electrical studies.
Perform power system calculations and studies for utility and industrial/commercial networks.
Develop compliant design documentation aligned with local, international, and client standards.
Coordinate design inputs with internal teams, stakeholders, and external contractors.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, designers, and drafters.
Review technical contract documentation and conduct contractor design reviews.
