Senior Database Migration Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Database Migration Engineer to lead the migration of our enterprise geoscience product database from SQL Anywhere to PostgreSQL. The role requires deep expertise in relational databases, hands‑on migration experience, and strong SQL optimization skills to ensure data integrity, performance, and seamless integration with the existing application stack.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze the existing SQL Anywhere database schema, objects, dependencies, and data structures.
• Convert proprietary SQL Anywhere functions, stored procedures, triggers, and queries into ANSI‑compliant and PostgreSQL‑compatible SQL.
• Redesign and optimize database schemas to align with PostgreSQL best practices.
• Develop, execute, and validate data migration scripts for large production datasets.
