Senior Database Administrator

Our government client is looking to contract a Senior Database Administrator to join their team to work on several projects intended to optimize database operations that impact most applications across the operations of the government entity. These projects include:

• Reviewing and consolidating SQL Server licensing costs or reducing licensing costs in the long term.
• Implementing Database monitoring for the vast majority of the public sector database environment.
• Creating new reporting and/or reporting options to highlight and elevate critical database issues to management.

Duties: This role is responsible for building, maintaining, and performance tuning production databases to deliver databases with appropriate levels of data availability and performance. This role is also responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing database procedures and standards.
