Job Description

My client in Bern is scaling a modern data platform and is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to help connect new data sources quickly and precisely. You will bring data into the raw layer within minutes through fully automated, versioned, and continuously monitored pipelines.

This is an end to end ownership role across data sourcing and onboarding, with a strong focus on automation, reliability, and pragmatic delivery.

What you will do

  • Own data source onboarding from first connection through stable production loading
  • Build and maintain automated, versioned ingestion pipelines that land data in the raw layer within minutes
  • Automate source onboarding using Git and template driven workflows (YAML and Jinja)
  • Implement and maintain integrations across JDBC, API, and file based sources
