Job Description

As a member of the R&D team, you will design Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and Forward Error Correction (FEC) algorithms for high-speed intensity-modulation and direct-detect (IM/DD) optical communication systems in automotive applications.

You will work closely with the Analog and Mixed-Signal (AMS) and Digital IC design teams to contribute to system architecture, partition analog and digital implementations, model channels, and support IC design, verification, and characterization.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Channel Modeling: Model optoelectronic components (e.g., laser drivers, Transimpedance Amplifiers (TIA)), photonics (e.g., VCSEL, PIN photodiodes), and optical transmission effects (e.g., chromatic dispersion (CD), effective modal bandwidth (EMB), modal noise (MN), and mode partition noise (MPN)), understanding their impact on signal distortion, both linear and non-linear, noise and jitter.
