Senior Buyer

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Join the City of Maple Ridge as a Senior Buyer and take on a strategic key leadership role in municipal procurement. This position leads formal competitive procurement processes for goods, services, and construction-related requirements, while providing advice to internal clients on procurement planning, contract strategy, policy compliance, and procurement risk.

This role is best suited to an experienced procurement professional with strong knowledge of public sector purchasing best practices, trade agreement compliance, competitive bid law, contract administration, and municipal or broader public sector governance. The Senior Buyer plays a key role in supporting the City’s operations and service delivery by ensuring procurement activities meet policy, legal and ethical standards.
