Senior Buyer / Materials Buyer (Permanent)

Are you looking for a new role in Buying / Procurement?

Sphere Solutions are seeking an experienced Buyer with construction experience to join a well-established contractor in Exeter.

With at least 5 years’ experience as a Buyer, this opportunity will suit an individual with a proven track record in procuring materials, who is commercially aware, has excellent negotiation skills, and is local to Exeter.

The Role

  • Procure all materials for the best possible price
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Analyse current supply chain price agreements and obtain competitive prices
  • Compare suppliers’ quotes and analyse prices against tender allowances
  • Research product information and alternative products
  • Assist the accounts department to resolve/avoid invoice queries
  • Measure quantities of materials if required
