Senior Buyer


AltaSteel is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join our team. The successful Senior Buyer will be responsible for complete value chain evaluation of supply opportunities for the organization. This will include collecting market intelligence, forecasting, sourcing, analyzing, negotiating, management review, administering terms & conditions and contract creation while maintaining compliance with AltaSteel policies.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and report market intelligence

  • Develop new sources of supply

  • In conjunction with AltaSteel stakeholders review supply and process opportunities and prepare procurement plans in support of operational initiatives

  • Review specifications, descriptions, work scopes; recommend improvements and terms and conditions to support 

  • Review submissions for compliance, prepare bid summary and evaluation spreadsheets
