Responsibilities

Backend Architecture & Platform Services

  • Design and implement secure, scalable public and internal APIs (FastAPI + async patterns)
  • Build identity-aware, role-based services supporting clinicians, administrators, and integrations
  • Ensure high reliability and low-latency request handling with proper caching, pagination, and rate limits
  • Apply distributed systems patterns: retries, idempotency keys, circuit breakers, backpressure
  • Contribute to domain modeling (DDD principles) for provider identity, specialties, compliance state
  • Define SLOs, operational runbooks, and automate recovery where possible

Data Ingestion, Structuring & Quality Governance

  • Engineer API-first ingestion, migration and synchronization pipelines (scraping only when legally permitted)
