Senior Backend Engineer

Wowzi is strengthening the core backend of its platform to support increased scale, data complexity, and product evolution. We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Engineer with deep expertise in modern Spring-based systems to take ownership of critical backend services within our monolith and supporting services.

You will work closely with the rest of the engineering team on architecture, system evolution, and technical standards, while ensuring the backend remains reliable, testable, and easy to extend as the platform grows.

This role is ideal for an engineer who values strong engineering practices, understands production systems deeply, and is comfortable operating in an environment where stability, correctness, and maintainability matter as much as velocity.
