Job Description
Backend Engineer (Java & GCP)
This role focuses on designing, implementing and documenting the back-end services for mobile apps and websites using Java.
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience as a backend engineer within a Java environment with expertise in working with modern tools & technologies. They should be familiar with open-source Java frameworks like Quarkus or Spring, possess microservices experience, Terraform knowledge and proficiency in English.
Key Responsibilities:
Designing and implementing back-end services for mobile apps and websites
Collaborating with junior resources to drive best practices, ensure technical feasibility of integrations, optimize applications for speed, scalability and reliability
Investigating Google Cloud Platform services to continuously improve application architecture
