Mission

As a Senior Accountant at Banqup, you play a key role in the Belgian accounting operations. You are responsible for daily accounting activities, monthly and annual closings, and statutory reporting. Working closely with the Accounting Manager Belgium, you ensure accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting while supporting the growth of a dynamic fintech organisation.

Responsibilities 

This is what we expect of you:

  • Handle day-to-day accounting activities and ensure smooth and accurate operations.
  • Coordinate and support junior accountants, guiding them where needed.
  • Prepare and submit VAT, MOSS, and other Belgian tax declarations.
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
  • Take care of annual accounts and statutory reporting in Belgium.
