Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant (Behaviour-Confident)

Location: Birmingham

Pay: £90-£110 per day

Start: Immediate & ongoing

Mainstream secondary schools across Birmingham are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants with strong behaviour management to support pupils with ASD, ADHD and SEMH.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils in mainstream lessons
  • De‑escalating behaviour calmly and confidently
  • Helping students access work and stay regulated
  • Working closely with teaching staff and SEND teams

Qualifications

  • Experience in secondary schools
  • Confidence managing challenging behaviour
  • A calm, authoritative presence
  • Flexibility and resilience

You do not need:

  • A teaching qualification
  • SEN buzzwords without real experience
