SEND Support Assistant

Do you enjoy supporting young people and helping them achieve their potential? Protocol Education is recruiting a SEND Support Assistant for a friendly and inclusive secondary school in Gateshead.

This rewarding opportunity is  to start in September and the successful candidate will likely continue untill at least July 2027. 

Working alongside teachers and the SEND team, you'll support students with additional learning needs to ensure they can fully participate in school life.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting students during lessons on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Helping students with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and other SEND.
• Promoting confidence, independence, and engagement.
• Assisting with behaviour management and emotional wellbeing.
• Creating a positive and encouraging learning environment.
