SEND Teaching Assistant

Perry Common, Birmingham (easily accessible via public transport, with a short walk for non‑drivers)

£110‑£120 per day

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Full-time, long‑term temp‑to‑perm (Full Academic Year)

About the Role

  • Supporting students both in lessons and in alternative learning environments
  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and well‑structured lessons across Key Stages
  • Setting clear and consistent expectations tailored to individual student needs
  • Using positive behaviour strategies to support engagement and progress
  • Monitoring student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to staff and parents where appropriate
  • Supporting students outside of the classroom to help them regulate before reintegrating into lessons
  • Encouraging independence, resilience, and positive social interaction among pupils
