Job Description
Teaching Assistant – SEMH / PLMD Support – Mainstream Primary School. Reeson Education is recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and PLMD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) in a mainstream primary school located in the WA4 area of Warrington. The role is full‑time, long‑term and starts ASAP.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted support to pupils with SEMH and PLMD needs within a mainstream classroom setting.
- Work 1:1 and in small groups to support learning, communication, and engagement.
- Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons to meet individual needs.
- Use a calm and patient approach to support emotional regulation and behaviour.
- Help create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
- Encourage independence, confidence and participation in learning activities.
