Teaching Assistant – Thurrock

Complex needs SEN teaching assistant role. Assist pupils with complex medical, physical and cognitive needs in a primary setting. Immediate start, full time (08:30‑16:00, Monday‑Friday). 8 pupils in a class with 6 teaching assistants and 1 teacher. Excellent transport links, Zone 2.

Responsibility

  • Support classroom learning and personal development for children with PMLD and SLD.
  • Assist with personal care tasks and routine activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists and specialist teams.
  • Adapt teaching materials to individual needs.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a teaching assistant or care worker.
  • Comfortable supporting children with extra learning needs.
  • Willingness to undertake personal care tasks.
  • Passion to learn new skills.
  • Reliable, punctual and professional.
