SEMH Teaching Assistants – Full-time and Part-time roles available

We are looking for committed SEMH Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs across a range of school settings in Oldham and the surrounding areas. Duties as SEMH Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
  • Assist teachers in creating a calm and inclusive classroom environment
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and personalised support plans
  • Support pupils’ emotional well‑being and encourage positive social interactions
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
  • Promote resilience and independence in pupils through tailored interventions
