SEMH Support Role – Secondary Setting (Ages 11–16)

Okehampton | £90–£100 per day

We are working with a specialist educational setting in Okehampton dedicated to supporting children and young people whose primary needs relate to Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and associated additional needs such as Autism Spectrum Conditions, ADHD and communication difficulties. Classes are small and personalised, with a strong emphasis on trauma-informed support, relationship-building and helping learners re-engage with education in a nurturing environment.

The role:

Supporting secondary-aged students (11–16) both in class and across the school day

Helping to manage and de-escalate behaviour using trauma-informed approaches

Assisting students to engage with tailored learning and personal development programmes

Collaborating with teaching and pastoral teams, families and external professionals to support each young person’s individual needs
