SEMH Teaching Assistant - Lewisham - PRU / Alternative Provision

Pay: £90-£110 a day (depending on experience) – Full Time – Immediate Start

• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH or challenging behaviour required
• Experience working in a PRU or alternative provision highly desirable
• MUST be confident with behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
• Required full time ASAP

The Role – SEMH Teaching Assistant

Seeking a resilient and proactive SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 11-16 within a PRU setting. The role involves providing targeted 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils manage behaviour, regulate emotions and re-engage with learning. Responsibilities include implementing behaviour support plans, using de-escalation techniques, promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a structured and consistent learning environment.
