Overview

The Security Specialist is responsible for performing security services in support of the FBI Academy at Quantico, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Initiates the background check process.
  • Processes e-QIP applications..
  • Obtains fingerprints and accesses various systems to obtain reports and relevant information for suitability and security adjudications. 
  • Performs an array of technical, research, and administrative activities supporting the personnel security program.
  • Conducts background investigations for public trust and national security positions on applicants and contractors who perform work on behalf of the federal government in accordance with the 2012 Federal Investigative Standards.

    • Qualifications

  • Must possess an active Top Secret.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must have five (5) years of experience in a related field.
