SECURITY OFFICER | SECURITY

Under the direction of the Security Manager, the Security Officer protects property from theft or damage, or persons from hazards or interference. Individual makes periodic tours of facility and grounds to check for irregularities. Preserves order and may enforce regulations pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.

Duties include:

1.Guards, patrols, and monitors premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules. 

2.Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences. 

3.Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety or premises, securing entrances and exits as appropriate. 

4.Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to appropriate persons as is required by the post.
