Hays Education are proud to be working with a weing and ambitious secondary school in Wigan that is seeking to appoint a Science Technician from September. This part-time position offers a fantastic opportunity to join a successful Science Department on a long-term basis, supporting the delivery of engaging practical lessons across the curriculum.

Your new role

Working three days per week, you will play a vital role in ensuring science lessons run smoothly by preparing equipment, materials and resources for practical activities. You will work closely with teaching staff to maintain safe, organised and well-equipped laboratories, helping to create a positive learning experience for pupils.

Key duties will include:

  • Preparing apparatus, chemicals and resources for Biology, Chemistry and Physics lessons.
