Science Teacher

Job Summary

The Science Teacher provides standards-based science instruction that develops students' scientific knowledge, critical thinking, inquiry skills, and laboratory experience. The role teaches subjects such as general science, biology, chemistry, physics, earth science, environmental science, and oceanography while creating engaging, student-centered learning experiences through experiments, research, and hands-on laboratory activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach science courses in accordance with curriculum standards and Virginia Standards of Learning.
• Develop and implement student-centered lesson plans using inquiry-based learning and laboratory investigations.
