Step into a dynamic, in-person position supporting high school students in a day treatment program for the full academic year. This contract opportunity centers around working closely with a caseload of approximately 20 students, each presenting a wide range of communication abilities. Your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with hands-on AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) experience will be instrumental in helping students find their voice and thrive in a supportive educational setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA licensure for school-based practice
- Demonstrated experience incorporating AAC devices and strategies
- Previous work with school-aged populations, preferably high school students
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with educational staff and families
- Ability to maintain thorough documentation and progress tracking
