School Social Work Intern

Summary:
Under the general direction of the Special Education Related Services Director and in direct supervision of a Licensed Master's Social Worker, and in accordance with the established policies and procedures of Eaton RESA, the school social worker intern will provide direct and consultative social work services for students enrolled in general or special education programs to facilitate the student's needs in their educational program.  This is a temporary position that offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of social work.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the school social worker in providing individual and group counseling services to students with special needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
