School Psychologist Intern
General Description
The School psychologist intern works with a supervising psychologist and is responsible for the identification, placement and follow-up of students referred for special education assessment at a specific school site. The school psychologist intern will also provide consultation to teachers and counseling of special education students under the supervision of supervising psychologist.
Education
Must meet the requirements for candidacy for Pupil Personnel Service Credential in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
Minimum Qualifications
Meet requirements for a psychologist internship through an accredited institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer cognitive, adaptive, social-emotional, visual motor, auditory and academic tests.
- Observe and conduct alternative assessments, complete and interpret the results in writing.
