School Caretaker - Wickford

TeacherActive is currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking School Caretaker to join a welcoming school in Wickford for an immediate start.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced caretaker, site assistant, or maintenance professional who enjoys working in a school environment and takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and secure site.

Working Hours

Split Shift Pattern: 6:30 am – 10:30 am, 2:30 pm – 6:00 pm, 5:30 pm finish on Fridays.

The Role

  • Opening and locking the school premises daily.
  • Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Ensuring the school grounds are clean, safe, and well maintained.
  • Completing health & safety checks and maintaining site compliance.
  • Supporting with deliveries and setting up rooms for school events.
  • Liaising with contractors when required.
