As a school Business Manager, you will lead on all aspects of finance operations, HR management, premises oversight, and strategic planning. You will work closely with the Headteacher and Governors to ensure the school’s resources are used effectively, sustainably, and creatively.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Financial leadership – Managing budgets, forecasting, procurement, and financial reporting.




  • HR administration – Overseeing recruitment, compliance, payroll, and staff wellbeing processes.




  • Facilities management – Ensuring the school site is safe, well-maintained, and fit for purpose.




  • Compliance & governance – Leading on policies, risk assessments, and statutory obligations.




  • Strategic development – Contributing to long-term planning and organisational growth.
