Job Description

The SCADA Operator is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and optimizing the operation of utility systems through the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, specifically utilizing Rockwell FactoryTalk software.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control utility systems using Rockwell FactoryTalk SCADA, adjusting parameters for optimal performance and compliance.
  • Analyze SCADA trends and data to troubleshoot issues and ensure seamless HMI operation.
  • Respond to alarms promptly, assess severity, initiate corrective actions, escalate critical issues, and maintain alarm logs.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on system performance, downtime, and incidents, providing data-driven insights.
  • Manage permits for utility operations, ensuring compliance and maintaining accurate records.
