JOB PURPOSE

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, provides quality patient care within the scope of professional nursing practice.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active registration with ANBLPN
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Minimum 1 year recent and direct experience (within last 5 years) would be an asset depending on the department (for example: Mental Health, obstetrical, haemodialysis, medical/surgical, etc. A combination of relevant work experience and related education training will be considered. 
  • Willing to participate in continuing education/certification programs (i.e. breastfeeding certification, non-violent crisis intervention, Periop 101, ASIST, cast application/removal, etc.) as outlined during orientation and onboarding within a defined timeframe.
  • Demonstrated assessment skills and ability to respond to emergent situations and prioritize care.
