Manganese Metal Company (MMC) based in Nelspruit (Mpumalanga Province), is the world’s largest producer of 99.9% electrolytic manganese metal (EMM). The company has been in operation since 1974, has a unique global marketing network and is a niche market supplier of EMM to an established international customer base.
We supply more than 120 customers in over 20 countries and our systems, equipment, safe operating philosophy and excellent business practices provide our customers with peace of mind, first‑class quality and reliable supply. Our products are used in the top‑end of the market, in the aluminum, steel, non‑ferrous alloys, rechargeable lithium‑ion batteries, chemicals, electronics and welding consumables industries.
