Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier, On-call Relief

Job Description

As an on‑call relief rural and suburban mail carrier with Canada Post you will deliver mail on an on‑call basis to various communities. You will operate a motor vehicle in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions and work independently.

Job Responsibilities

• Sort, collect and deliver mail items safely and on time.
• Maintain knowledge of local roads, customers and delivery receptacles.
• Ensure mail is securely held during transit.
• Process CPC products and services such as Change of Address Notification, Damaged Mail, IDB and others.
• Wear Canada Post identification during delivery and make it visible to customers.
• Lift and carry items up to 50 lb (22.7 kg).
• Operate a motor vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid permanent provincial driver’s licence – class 5 or G.
• Satisfactory safe driving record.
