RSP - Paraeducator

POSITION TITLE: Paraeducator RESPONSIBLE TO: Regional School Programs Principal QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATION(S): Qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable High School Diploma Passing score on Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment or 60 college hours JOB GOAL: To assist the teachers in the achievement of teaching objectives by working with individual students or small groups to help them achieve the skill levels of the class as a whole. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Administer, score, and record such achievement and diagnostic test as the teacher recommends for individual students. Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher. Assist the teacher in devising special strategies for reinforcing material or skillsbased on a sympathetic understanding of individual students, their needs, interest, and abilities.
