Role Overview
Rota Coordinator supporting the Planned, Surgical and Children’s Directorate at Harrogate District Hospital. Responsible for staff scheduling, rostering and time‑keeping to ensure 24/7 coverage and compliance with NHS regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive rota schedule for junior and middle‑grade doctors.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels for 24/7 coverage, taking hospital guidelines and junior doctor working‑time regulations into account.
- Coordinate annual leave requests and distribute shifts evenly among team members.
- Act as primary point of contact for doctors regarding rota changes, shift swaps and leave requests.
- Collaborate with senior management, senior and junior medical staff and administrative personnel to achieve effective communication and coordination.
- Stay current with employment laws, guidelines and regulations to ensure rota compliance.
