Job Title **: RN-Quality (Peer Review Specialist)**
Department: **Medical Staff**
Shift: **1st Shift (8am-4:30pm)**
Status: **1.0 (40 hours a week)**
**Purpose:** Coordinates interdisciplinary peer review activities of the MercyOne Medical Staffs. Coordinators activities associated with FPPE (Focused Professional Practice Evaluation) and OPPE (Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation). Assists in quality initiates as related to the medical staff. Coordinates External Peer Review services.
**Essential Functions:**
1. Acquires and maintains the knowledge and skills necessary to retrieve data from hospital information systems including the EHR, Midas, and other databases.
2. Conducts retrospective review of medical records for quality and safety reviews and peer review activities.
