Registered Nurse - MedSurg Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

12-hour night shifts, including weekends as scheduled.

The MedSurg unit is a 52-bed facility where all rooms are private. The staff-to-patient ratio is generally 1:6-7, primarily 1:7 for both day and night shifts. Registered Nurses will work alongside Clinical Assistants and certified Nursing Aides to provide high-quality patient care.

Care for patients post-operatively and manage symptoms of various medical conditions including COPD, pneumonia, and infections.

Utilize the electronic medical record system (Allscripts) for charting and documentation.

Collaborate with the clinical team, including Hospitalists and Intensivists, to provide coordinated care.

Monitor vital signs and assist with medication administration, including intravenous therapies.

Perform assessments and evaluate patient needs, including IV site assessments.
