JOB DETAILS
1.A professional approach must be adopted with all patients, staff and visitors.
2.Must work within their level of experience and competence and highlight verbally and in writing to the nurse in charge if they are being asked to work outside the level of their competences.
3.To receive a hand-over report on patients from the alternative Medical officer when commencing duty and to enable and establish consultant communication.
4. Examining and talking to patients to diagnose their medical conditions
5. Working with other doctors as part of a team, either in the same department or within other specialties
6. Carrying out specific procedures, e.g. Performing operations and specialist investigations
7. Liaising with other medical and non-medical staff in the hospital to ensure quality treatment;
8. Undertaking managerial responsibilities such as planning the workload and staffing of the department
