Job Description
Rigger Responsibilities
• Support both the telehandler operator and crane operator during material
movement and lift activities.
• Inspect rigging gear before use and remove damaged or questionable equipment
from service.
• Select appropriate slings, shackles, hooks, tag lines, and attachment points for
each load.
• Rig each load so it remains balanced, controlled, and secure throughout the lift.
• Assist with guiding, landing, and staging conveyor components and other materials.
• Use tag lines as needed to control load rotation and keep personnel clear of the line
of fire.
• Coordinate with the designated signal person and ensure only clear, agreed-upon
signals are used during crane operations.
