Job Duties

  • Supervise, coordinate and schedule activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food as well as clean.
  • Prepare food order summaries for guests according to requests and customer needs.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure procedures are followed.
  • Supervise a department as the head when management is away as needed.
  • Maintain records of stock, sales and wastage using first‑in‑first‑out.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures to ensure standards are met.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards and guests have a great experience.
  • Participate in the selection of food service staff and assist in their development through training.
  • Deal with customer complaints and issues; if not resolvable, escalate to management.
