- Should have knowledge about properties and usage of herbs and spices in food preparation, and cook Indian and Bangladeshi dishes in a traditional way.
- Ensure all dishes are freshly prepared and food standards are met.
- Plan and arrange ingredients for the next day’s preparation and orders.
- Monitor stock rotation procedures to follow inventory practices.
- Maintain quality of food.
- Understand customer requirements as per order.
- Have a deep understanding of authentic Indian food preparation and capacity to work under pressure during extremely busy periods.
- Introduce new dishes and menus.
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.).
- Cook food in various utensils or grillers.
- Check food while cooking to stir or turn.
