Overview of position

The Assiniboine West Watershed District delivers land and water management programs to Municipal partners, residents and landowners within the District. The Resource Technician Assistant will provide support in delivering the programs.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Shelterbelt program delivery
  • Completing culvert inventory surveys using Trimble or Leica RTK units
  • Transporting equipment
  • Collecting GPS data
  • Maintaining District Assets
  • Water Sampling
  • Soil Testing
  • Operate hand tools and small equipment
  • Assist with communication and promotion
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Planning and organization skills
