Job Summary

Trains non-human primates and other large animals to facilitate research activities and assists with data collection. Assists in animal surgeries, clinical care, and routine veterinary procedures. Maintains laboratory spaces, completes all necessary documentation, and ensures compliance with all standards and regulations.

Essential Functions

We are seeking an energetic, hardworking, individual, to fill a Research Animal Technician position in the laboratory of Dr. Omar Gharbawie (Department of Neurobiology at University of Pittsburgh). The lab conducts research on non-human primates to understand how the brain controls movement.
