Role Summary
The RAMS Engineer is responsible for ensuring that railway gangway systems meet defined Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) requirements across the full product life cycle, in compliance with international railway standards and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Reliability & Availability
- Develop and manage RAMS plans in accordance with EN 50126 / IEC 62278
- Perform FMEA / FMECA, reliability block diagrams, and failure rate calculations
- Calculate MTBF, MTTR, Availability (Ao/Ai)
- Support design optimization to reduce failure rates
Maintainability
- Define maintenance concepts, intervals, and repair strategies
- Support spare parts strategy and maintenance manuals
- Ensure maintainability targets are achieved (accessibility, repair time)
Safety
- Conduct Hazard Identification (HAZID) and risk analysis
