Position Summary

The regulated pharmacy technician supports the pharmacist by managing all aspects of drug distribution that do not require the pharmacist's clinical knowledge, skills, and judgment.

What You'll Do

• Receive prescriptions, create and maintain patient records, and assess prescriptions for clarity, completeness, authenticity, and legal compliance.
• Interpret prescriptions, perform pharmaceutical calculations, and record information accurately.
• Alert the pharmacist to potential drug therapy problems.
• Prepare non-sterile and sterile products, package, and label them to meet legislative requirements.
• Collaborate with the pharmacist in product release, review prescriptions, and offer counseling to patients as needed.
