Inpatient Medicine is located on the top floor of the hospital (3rd floor) – Pods C and D (Pod C3 and D3). Most patients are admitted from the Emergency Department or transferred from Critical Care or Surgical Units. Patients are admitted for treatment and/or monitoring and expect a stay of 1‑5 days.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Registration ~ College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers (HCP) certificate is required (within the last twelve months)
• Recent Medical/Surgical clinical experience in an active care setting (within the last 2–3 years) required
• Recent palliative care experience required
• Current certificate in IV Therapy and Central Line Management required
