Registered Nurse – Medical Coder

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical records, physician notes, and supporting documentation to accurately identify billable services.
• Apply correct CPT, ICD, and HCPCS codes, including appropriate modifiers.
• Assign accurate procedure charges and ensure proper documentation alignment.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies, missing charges, and errors in the charge entry process.
• Ensure full compliance with coding guidelines, Coding Clinics, HIPAA, GRIC, and client-specific requirements.
• Meet daily productivity and quality targets.
• Participate in feedback sessions and stay updated with coding changes to maintain SLAs and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Active PHRN license
• Active AHIMA or AAPC coding certification (e.g., CPC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, etc.)
