The interventional radiology nurse is a registered professional who plans and renders nursing care within the radiology unit. He/she gives direct patient care and maintains clinical records reflecting the patient's condition, medication, treatment, examination, and progress according to the Delaware Nursing Practice Act and St. Francis Hospital's policies and procedures. Assists Radiologist and Technical team before, during and after interventional procedures performed in many of the imaging modalities, which includes organizing schedule, preparing room for procedure, preparing patient, obtaining required patient healt...
