Job Description

Principal Accountabilities

  • Prepares clinical and progress notes, coordinates services, works as liaison between treating physician and other personnel regarding changes in the client's condition and family members.
  • Counsels the clients and family in meeting nursing and related needs, participates in in‑service programs, and supervises and teaches other nursing personnel.

Specific Tasks

  • Monitoring and recording vital signs and reporting abnormal values to the treating physicians.
  • Administering prescribed medications.
  • Monitoring intravenous infusions and parenteral therapies.
  • Caring for clients with tracheostomy, gastrostomy, and colostomy.
  • Carrying out nursing care for clients with pacemaker, peritoneal dialysis, and clients on ventilator.
  • Delivering nursing care for clients with hemiplegia, paraplegia, Bell’s palsy, cerebral palsy, terminally ill, and elderly etc.
